Friends

Ive been thinking about about friendships in and out of family circles..
As a mother i believe you need support and from support comes friendship.
Friends help you get through the day and also are there in time of need.
I have never been one to have alot of friends or infact many friends at all.

Since having children i have been exposed to lots of mothers and formed friendships.
Its a different kind of friendship were the children are the focus and there isnt much mother to mother interaction or deeper friendship.
I am very private and find it hard to get to the deeper level of friendship but still long for that depth and good friendship.
I have one friend who is my best friend and we will always be best friends but its hard because she has no kids so even though i can have that deeper relationship with her the understanding of children isnt there.

Im not sure if how to go about feeling this void i have for friends or taking my friendships i currently have to the next level because of my privateness. Also the fear of rejection is so high and you are playing with such high stakes because they are friends with your children.

This year of 2010 i will strive to find more friends and also form deeper relationships with people, not letting my fear of rejection and being judged get in the way!

We are a co sleeping, attachment parents, extending breastfeeding (mama not papa) family.
We live in a little house which we are currently doing up and making our own
Currently we are doing a challenge to take a picture a day so dcnixon will be updated everyday with a photo
